John grew up in Washington, DC and attended Georgetown Law School, where he graduated cum laude. After graduation, John and his wife, Jenny, moved out of the city and back to her home state of Wyoming as quickly as possible. They have been enjoying the skiing, biking, and wide-open spaces of Wyoming ever since.

John began his legal career clerking for the Honorable Kelly Rankin in the U.S. District Court for the District of Wyoming. After his clerkship John practiced with both the Spence Law Firm and the Teton County Attorney’s Office. John’s previous practice has ranged from high-stakes litigation in federal courts to local land use and zoning disputes.

John has a general civil practice which includes litigation, real estate, land use, and business entity formation and operation.
