Sara was born in Groton, Connecticut and raised in Jackson, Wyoming beginning in 1973 when her father moved the family via Chicago and Denver to Jackson to work as one of the valley’s earlier orthopedic surgeons. She grew up in the Tetons and on the slopes of Snow King Mountain and the Jackson Hole Ski Area. After graduating from Jackson Hole High School, Sara went east for college, earning a Bachelor of Arts in political science from Middlebury College in Vermont and earning a Master of Arts in Governmental Administration from the University of Pennsylvania. Sara returned to Wyoming for law school and earned her Juris Doctorate from the University of Wyoming College of Law in 1993.

Sara married Andrew Cornish of Westport, Connecticut and Middlebury College, and together they returned to Jackson, where she has practiced law with Geittmann Larson Swift LLP, formerly Mullikin, Larson & Swift LLC, since 1993. Andrew is the owner of a real estate appraisal company, Rocky Mountain Appraisals, and also is a real estate broker with Jackson Hole Sotheby’s International Realty.

At Geittmann Larson Swift LLP, Sara has developed an active civil practice with longstanding and valued clients, many of which are valley businesses and large employers. Her practice focuses on corporate counsel advising, business entity formation, business and construction contracts, employment law (employer representation), real estate transactions, special district and governmental entity representation, and school law. Sara has enjoyed her career-long relationships with her partners and has valued being a member of such a well-respected and established local firm with attorneys with extensive expertise, experience, and personal client relationships.

Sara and Andrew have two adult children, a son Jack who works as a wildlife biologist for the Alaska Department of Fish and Game, and daughter Andie who is professional trail runner for Mammut. In her free time, Sara enjoys playing tennis and is active in the Teton County tennis community, as well as traveling, skiing, hiking, and reading.
